Massimo Vanzi is an experienced manager and entrepreneur with over 35 years of experience in the ICT industries and in the innovative hightech startup world.

After earning his Dr. Eng. degree in electronics in 1976 from the University of Genoa (Italy) and his Master’s of Science degree in Electrical Engineering in 1979 from Stanford University (California), Massimo worked for several software and semiconductor companies, never stopping to cultivate his beloved hobby of Photography.

Massimo started to take photographs using his father’s Leica in 1966; black and white pictures that he was printing on his own in a small darkroom organized at home. He used then for many years OM1-OM2-OM4 Olympus reflex cameras both for B&W prints and for colour slides.

Past the year 2000 Massimo dedicated much more time to photography, trying in depth several photographic styles like B&W abstract pictures and color architectural and landscape pictures.

Massimo is an expert on history of photography and of the relationship between Art and Photography. He is invited lecturer on these topics in several Photography Clubs and cultural institutions. He is also active on PhotoBooks collection and creation, with a personal collection of more than 500 rare modern and classical PhotoBooks. He is a member of the Forma Centre for Photography in Milan and of the Monza Photo Club.

In 2008 Massimo moved definitely to digital technology after purchasing Canon 5D reflex cameras and a few Canon quality lenses; taking care of all post production tasks using Apple computers, Adobe and DxO software and an Epson Pro 3800 printer. He prints all his pictures in A3+ and A2 formats on Somerset Velvet or Hahnemühle Photo Rag BW paper for B&W pictures and on Hahnemühle Fine Art Pearl paper for color pictures. His pictures are framed in high quality style using black or silver Nielsen aluminum frames.
